Life was anything but glamorous in the hospital so after Lauren's hair grew back, we decided to do some fun "Glamour Shots". We tried to get back to"normal" and do fun things like this. In writing and editing this book, I look back and realize at what really happened during the years between her chemo treatments and realize that life was really never "normal" again. Lauren's life was full of challenges that didn't stop when she left the hospital. Funny how I never looked at it that way. I just kept adjusting to all the challenges and did whatever had to be done - that was it and that was our life.
